Player versus player turn based strategy game based in outer space.
*** THIS IS AN EARLY ALPHA VERSION! ***
Endless Horizons is a turn based player versus player game.
Objective:
- Destroy your opponent base (Warp Gate) while protecting yours.
The game is divided into rounds. On round start the following happens:
- Resource extractors extract resources.
- Movement points & attacks are replenished.
Within the round players take alternating turns, each spaning one action. An action can be:
- Special Ability
- Building.
- Moving.
- Firing.
- Using a special ability.
Actions take one action point, except for firing and corvette special action.
You have 3 resource types:
- Resources – used to build ships & structures. Acquired by constructing Extractors on Planets or using Warp Gate special ability.
- Population – used to support ships, claimed when a ship is built, released when it is destroyed. Acquired by constructing Living Pods.
- Action points – needed to perform actions. Acquired by capturing Artifacts or building Command Hubs.
Building:
- You can only build in your warp zone.
- To expand the warp zone build Warp Linkers or mobile Warp Prism ships that can be deployed into Warp Linkers using their special action.
- Click on a planet or empty tile in your warp zone to build.
Moving:
- Your ship movement is determined by its movement points.
- The area in which you can move is shown as white zone.
- Each move action consumes 1 action point.
Firing:
- Some ships can fire more than once (amount of shots shown as swords near the ship).
- Firing does not consume action points, but it does end your turn.
- You can move and fire in the same turn, that will consume 1 action point and 1 attack.
Special actions:
- Warp Gate (main building) – gives 1 resource. This is conveniently places in lower left corner as your default action.
- Extractor – consumes the planet, giving you extractor cost + half of the remaining planets resources.
- Laser Tower – replenishes one attack.
- Warp Prism – deploys into Warp Linker.
- Corvette – consumes one shot and provides extra movement. Does not consume an action point.
- Rocket Frigate – deploys into stationary form, greatly increasing its attack range and visibility but removing ability to move.
- Deployed Rocket Frigate – packs up into mobile form, reducing its attack range and visibility but adding ability to move. Movement points are restored at the start of new round.
