The Goblin King in Rune Slayer is the latest boss that has been added in Update 2. Found in the new Withered Thicket area, this boss can drop some lucrative rewards. So, to help you find and farm this boss with ease, here's a complete guide to beating the Goblin King along with a cheese strategy.
The Goblin King is located near the center of the Withered Thicket area. In order to reach the Withered Thicket, you need to travel into the Greatwood Forest, and talk to Kliff on the tree village. He'll provide you with the quest to slay the Goblin King and the direction for the Withered Thicket.
Once in the area, follow the lamps that appear when you start moving southwest, and follow them till you reach the big tree in the center. There you'll find a bridge where you need to drop down twice and you'll be at the entrance of the Goblin King's Arena. Do note that dropping will drain around 300 HP, so make sure you have sufficient Health Points before attempting.
Once you enter the Goblin King's Area, you'll see that the Goblin King Boss is sitting near the throne, and approaching it will make the boss's health bar appear and start the fight. This is one of the strongest bosses currently in the game, and it is recommended to be at level 30 and above before you try fighting it.
The Goblin King is a generally predictable attack pattern of mostly melee attacks and some AoE skills that are relatively easy to dodge, especially if you're in a team. Moreover, the boss also becomes stunned after losing too much health during fights. It does regenerate HP once below 50% HP, and becomes enraged.
